Selective Colouring
Changing Eye Colour
You can change the colour of the iris of an eye fairly easily in Photoshop. You can even change the effect so that they're much more surreal and have two different colours blended together.
2) Click your Round Marquee tool. Make sure it is on the New Selection option (the first square) on the top menu, not add or subtract from selection. This will enable you to move your selected area around without picking up the layer or image. Make a selection about the same size as the eye. Don't worry if it is not directly on the eye. You can click and drag your selection until it's in the right place. |
10) Repeat Step 6 again by changing this selection's colour. The feathering effect should ensure that the colours blend into each other without too much of a hard edge. If the inner eye colour is too dark, you can also change the Blending Option to something else other than Dodge, or decrease the opacity. 11) You can add even more depth to the eye, if yo choose. Darken or lighten up certain areas with the Dodge and Burn tools. |
